off-site skydives

Part of the reason we love jumping here is because of our plethora of beautiful off-site skydive locations we have at our disposal! We currently offer two off-site locations to the general fun jumper public: Mineral Bottom and Castle Valley. Both are roughly three-hour skydives if choosing to return to the dropzone afterward. Since these are specialized skydives, they require at least a group of four to send a load in a Cessna 182. Larger loads can also be accommodated. Jump tickets are $75, and return rides may be available upon request. If your team is interested in these jumps, please email us at info@skydivemoab.com at least a week in advance.

Castle Valley: B license or higher required.

Mineral Bottom: C license or higher required.

Manifest and landing patterns

When you first enter the main hangar, there are four black iPads on a wooden box. Please talk to ground to get them to assist you in filling out a fun jumper waiver. Afterwards, you can walk over to the packing hangar on the other side of the split wall. The manifest for fun jumpers is the window on the split wall in the packing hangar.

Our landing area has a few hazards, so make sure to get a DZ briefing before jumping! There are power lines on the east side of the landing area that stretch all the way from the north end to the south end. Midfield of the general LZ on the west side, there are ponds and a fence around them. Winds are determined by the wind blades on the north end of the LZ, as well as numerous yellow wind socks. The tetrahedron south of the D license area DOES NOT WORK. Landing pattern is set by the first person down. For north landings, we do a left hand pattern. For south landings, we do a right hand pattern. All landing patterns start their downwind leg from the west of the LZ.

DO NOT OVERFLY THE ACTIVE RUNWAY BELOW 2000 FEET. Land on the other side of the runway, at least 500ft from the runway and airport. staff will pick you up.

DO NOT WALK ACROSS THE ACTIVE RUNWAY.

WALKING ACROSS THE RUNWAY WILL GET YOU BANNED FROM THE AIRPORT.
