 Ian Mitchard

Ian, a native of Bethesda, MD, discovered his passion for skydiving while pursuing his studies at Purdue University in September 2000, located in the quaint town of Frankfort, IN. Graduating with a degree in Industrial Engineering in 2003, alongside obtaining his A license in skydiving, he returned to the east coast to embark on his professional journey.

In 2006, Ian reignited his dedication to skydiving, transitioning away from his engineering career. This led him to diverse experiences, including travel to Africa and employment in Washington DC, all in support of his burgeoning skydiving endeavors. Embracing new challenges, he ventured into BASE jumping in 2008, which soon became his primary focus for the subsequent decade.

Ian's commitment to air sports led him to obtain certification as a Tandem Instructor in 2011. By the close of 2012, he relocated to the western United States, fully immersing himself in the world of skydiving and BASE jumping. Since 2014, Moab has served as Ian's base of operations and residence, where he continues to pursue his passions with unwavering dedication.
